Code 6103 & 27383 THIS' ARLT"' I r�"O R RIN 171--dC 0 R D' L"R'S THIS COVER SHEET ADDED TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE SPACE FOR RECORDING INFORMATION DOC #2025-0227512 Page 2 of 6 RESOLUTION NO.20255 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA, TO VACATE APPROXIMATELY 660 LINEAR FEET OF LAS LUNAS STREET LOCATED BETWEEN CROCKETT AVENUE AND FARMDALE AVENUE AS DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A" AND EXHIBIT "B" (APPLICANT: STEENO DESIGN STUDIO INC). WHEREAS, Las Lunas Street is located east of Crockett Avenue, west of Farmdale Avenue, north of Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 0397-161-62, and south of APN 0397-161-53; and WHEREAS, Las Lunas Street was dedicated to the City, demonstrated by the San Bernardino County recorded document number 2006-0146614 on March 2"d, 2006; and WHEREAS, the current property owner of properties APN 0397-161-62 and APN 0397-161-53, which surrounds the portion of Las Lunas Street that is being proposed to be vacated, intends for the City to vacate the 660 linear feet of Las Lunas Street and then the applicant will design a new parcel map to create multiple single-family residential lots; and WHEREAS, the road will then be realigned and dedicated back to the City during the recordation of the final parcel map or by separate document; and WHEREAS, by vacating the portion of Las Lunas Street and realigning it, it will allow for larger single-family residential lots to be created; and WHEREAS, City staff does not anticipate that this portion of Las Lunas Street between Crockett Avenue and Farmdale Avenue, north of APN 0397-161-62, and south of APN 0397-161-53 will be needed for public access; and WHEREAS, this vacation is made pursuant to the requirements of California Streets and Highway Code, Division 9. — Change of Grade and Vacation, Part 3. — Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easement Vacation Law, Chapter 3. — General Vacation Procedure (sections 8300 et seq.); and WHEREAS, on August 28, 2025, the Notices of Public Hearing to vacate said street were posted in the area of Las Lunas Street not less than two weeks before the date of the public hearing; and WHEREAS, the Public Hearing was held on September 16, 2025; and WHEREAS, all other legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have occurred; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HESPERIA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set forth in this resolution are true and correct; and Section 2. The City Council finds and declares that the 660 linear feet of Las Lunas Street, which is proposed to be vacated, is not required for street or highway purposes under Section 8334, subdivision (a) of the Streets and Highways Code; and DOC #2025-0227512 Page 3 of 6 Section 3. The City Council, under the authority vested in it by the Streets and Highways Code, sections 8334, subdivision (a) and 8335, hereby orders the vacation of the portion of Las Lunas Street as described on the attached Exhibits "A" and "B"; and Section 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions; and Section 5. The City Clerk is authorized to present this Resolution to the County Recorder to be filed for record. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of September 2025.
